The Blue Ridge Amateur Radio Club is excited to take part in both the North Carolina and South Carolina QSO Parties, giving club members and amateur radio enthusiasts the opportunity to experience contest-style operating in a relaxed and fun setting.
For the North Carolina QSO Party, James (KK4JFO) and Danny (NA4X) will be operating from BRARC Shack this Sunday from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM. This is a great opportunity for those interested in contesting to get a hands-on experience. The contest is simple, with the exchange consisting of our club call sign and county.
We will do our best to have two radios operating simultaneously, which means more chances to make contacts. As a bonus station (W4YK), we expect a lot of operators to be calling us, making this an exciting experience for anyone who wants to try making a few contacts or just watch and learn.
If you have never participated in a QSO party before, this is a great way to get started. Contesting can be a lot of fun and, for many, it becomes an addictive part of the hobby. Whether you want to log a few contacts yourself or simply observe, we invite you to come out and join us.
